Spring Has Sprung: Rehoboth Events
Rehoboth Beach is always bustling with activity, especially in these warmer months. It seems the cold is officially behind and we are now able to enjoy spring, which is all too soon to transform into summer! Warmer temps, chirping birds and floral blooms create an itch to be outdoors, being active and enjoying community events.
Luckily for you, we’ve done half the work for you. We’ve selected a few events happening next week to share information about. All that’s left to do is go and participate! Here’s what’s going on in Rehoboth and the surrounding areas:
Tuesday, April 26th: Spring Migration Bird Walk at Cape Helopen State Park in Lewes at 8am. Truly embrace the Spring season by embarking on an outdoor adventure to locate and enjoy viewing birding “hot spots.” This program is for beginners and intermediate birders, so no one is excluded! The event is free and all you’ve got to bring is a pair of binoculars (or just borrow one of the park’s!)
Thursday, April 28th: Sussex County Job Fair from 10am-2pm at Atlantic Sands in Rehoboth. It’s a good old fashioned way to be introduced to exciting careers and meet some pretty important people! Senators Carper and Coons as well as Congressman Carney will be presenting this event with representative from various businesses, staffing agencies, government agencies, military recruiters and more! All you’ve got to do to be a part of this exciting day is email workshop@coons.senate.gov or call Shavonne Bailey at 302-573-6345.
Friday, April 29th: Doodles in Dewey, Dog Day starting at 9:30pm. All you dog lovers out there, try to stay calm… This is pretty special! This event is on the beach and has “yappy” hour Satruday morning where dogs can meet and greet on the Starboard restaurant’s porch before having dinner that evening. For more information visit www.doodlesindewey.com.
Saturday, April 30th: 2nd Annual Bicycle Ride – Meals on Wheels Lewes-Rehoboth Fundraiser. Grab that bike, blow off the dust and get your work-out clothes on! This bicycle ride offers three different routes as well as a cookout afterwards. The best part is it all goes towards a great cause! For more information, just call 302-645-7449.
