Spring is Upon Us in Rehoboth
Hush, Can you hear it?The rustling in the grass,Bringing you the welcome newsWinter's day is past.Soft, Can you feel it?The warm caressing breeze,Telling you the sticky budsAre bursting on the trees.Look, Can you see them? The primrose in the lane,Now you must believe it -Spring is here again.
- It Must Be Spring (Family Friend Poems)
It's hard to believe that Easter is in March this year. Spring is truly upon us! Since I'm from Florida, I was somewhat disappointed with our mild winter, but I am not a sore loser. I can rejoice with the rest of them over the sunny days to come and the gorgeous blossoms yet to behold. Living on the east-coast has made quite a Spring lover out of me. Never have I experienced such diversity of flowers and blooming trees before in my life!
Rehoboth is also a great place to live during this upcoming season. The community near the beach is very warm and family friendly. With events planned year round, there's always something to do... Especially in the warmer weather. So get ready to have some fun! Here's a few events Rehoboth has planned over the next month!
March 5th: Spring Fling Craft and Vendor Fair- 11am to 4pm at the Lutheran Church of our Savior. Located behind Big Fish Grill in Rehoboth, the show will host over 50 vendors and booths. Admission is only $1 and visitors will be able to browse and purchase handmade jewelry, ceramics and more! Food booths will also satisfy the hungry shopper with delicious treats and lunch will be available for purchase.
March 6: Rehoboth Beach Museaum Downton Tea Party - For those mega fans out there (I may be speaking to myself) - cost is $15 for a Downton tea party with costumed servers, tea party food and passionate discussions and quizzes about this popular television series. The final episode airs Sunday night, so this tea party would be a fantastic way to make the grand finale just that... quite grand indeed!
March 13: Milton St. Patrick's Day Parade - Grab the kiddos and make sure you're wearing green! Starting at 2pm, enjoy the historic downtown Milton while feeling festive and enjoying this Irish holiday.
March 26: Delaware Music Festival - Featuring 17 local bands, admission is free and open to the public!
March 26: Lewes Canalfront Easter Egg Hunt - Start time is 10am and the actual hunt begins at 11am. Kids can get their photo taken with the Easter bunny, get their faces painted, enjoy live music and balloon artists. What a great way to kick off Easter with the family!
March 30: Cape Henlopen State Park at 11am. Meet at the Seaside Nature Center. Free admission for participants 5 and older. Enjoy exploring the oceanside searching for shells and more!
